Kevin Grecksch

Kevin is a social scientist and ecological economist specialising in water governance and climate change adaptation. His core research interests include water governance, climate change adaptation, property rights and natural resources, sustainability and ecological economics. Kevin is involved in the MaRIUS project and the ENDOWS project. From 2018 to 2021, Kevin is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow and his fellowship project deals with sustainable underground governance and regulation in the UK.

Heloise Greeff

DPhil Researcher

Department of Engineering Science, Smith School for Enterprise and the Environment

Heloise is a DPhil student working on the Smart Water programme. Her work involves condition monitoring systems for handpumps in rural regions, along with the construction of tools for risk assessment of water insecurity. This work involves studies in Kenya and Bangladesh, and is funded by UNICEF. She is co-supervised by Prof. Rob Hope and Patrick Thompson in the School of Geography and the Smith School of Enterprise.

David Grey was World Bank staff for 27 years to 2009, latterly as its Senior Water Advisor, working on water issues in over 80 countries, including living in Africa and Asia for 15 years, and currently working at the interface of water resources science, policy and practice.


Dr Ian Griffiths

Mathematical Institute

Ian has research expertise in the mathematical modelling of strategies for water purification, including membrane filtration and the removal of contaminants via magnetic separation. He collaborates with the Water Desalination Research Centre, KAUST, and the Complex Fluids Group in Princeton University.
