This week, Professor Seifu Kebede from the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa and Professor Alan MacDonald, Head of Groundwater at the British Geological Survey, provided a hydrogeological perspective on climate change resilience at Oxford University Museum of Natural History Fair Water? event.
Groundwater could provide more plentiful water for productive and consumptive use across much of Africa. However, monitoring to understand the risks of depletion and the maintenance of infrastructure are both vital to make the most of this hidden resource.
The talk was followed by a lively discussion sparked by the questions from the audience.
