Dr Helen Gavin

Project Manager

Environmental Change Institute

Helen is Project Manager for MaRIUS (Managing the Risks, Impacts and Uncertainties of droughts and water Scarcity). She has a background in hydrology and environmental science, and has been working in the water sector for over 13 years. Her interests and experience is wide ranging and includes wetlands, hydroecological investigations, and water resource management including droughts.

Nancy Gladstone

Water Programme Coordinator

Smith School for Enterprise and the Environment

Nancy coordinates the Smith School Water Programme (excluding the REACH project), providing administrative support to facilitate academic outputs and timely financial reporting; liaising with project partners to develop efficient monitoring and reporting mechanisms; and assisting with the dissemination of research and practical applications of the work.

Joanne Keenan

REACH Programme Manager

Joanne is responsible for the day-to-day management of the REACH Programme by supporting the Director and Co-Director. She coordinates the Programme Management Office and liaises with consortium partners and funders on administrative, financial and contractual issues.

Anna Murgatroyd

DPhil - MaRIUS

Environmental Change Institute, School of Geography and the Environment

Anna’s research focuses on multi-objective optimisation of the Thames Water system, developing adaptive water resources planning methods to manage future risks to London’s water supply under climate change. Her research is part of the MaRIUS project.
Supervisor: Prof Jim Hall.

Anna is also the Water Network Coordinator. Her role involves coordinating the network’s research and administrative activities. She is responsible for internal and external communications, events organisation, supporting research proposals, and engagement with partner organisations.
