My research lies at the intersection of water security, agriculture and decision-making in international development contexts. Leveraging experience from NGOs, policy think tanks and the Australian Aid program, I am interested in bridging the priorities of smallholder communities and national research and policy institutes to drive equitable development outcomes in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
My Honours research at the Australian National University explored the suitability of carbon calculator application to smallholder coffee production in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. This ignited a passion for effective international research partnerships between the Global South and Australia.
More recently, I have focused on water policy development through deliberative decision-making methodologies in Australia’s Murray-Darling Basin, seeking better and fairer water policy outcomes in highly contested basin environments.
